Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer has begun, and the roadmap has revealed that Solstice of Heroes is returning in just a few weeks' time.
A celebration of Guardians that's been running for the last few years, here's everything you can expect from the event.
What Is Destiny 2's Solstice of Heroes Event?
An annual event ever since Guardians vanquished Ghaul at the end of the Red War campaign, Solstice of Heroes celebrates Guardians and their accomplishments.
Expect special armour, as well as seasonal bounties and cosmetic rewards like Ghost Shells and Sparrows.
Check out the trailer from last year below:
European Aerial Zone
The European Aerial Zone has been part of Destiny's Solstice of Heroes for a couple of years and offers a fun combat encounter against a series of minibosses in a bespoke area.
Whether it'll return this year or not though is another question - maybe we'll have something a little more Vex-inspired since we're currently trying to break free of their simulation over the Last City?
Solstice of Heroes 2021 Armour Set
Solstice of Heroes dishes out its armour rewards in a more unique way than just buying them from the shop.
While there are cosmetics to purchase, players tend to start with a pretty basic set with various objectives attached to each. Complete the objectives, and you'll 'level up' the armour.
We await to see if that stands true in 2021, but it's worked well before.
Destiny 2: Solstice of Heroes Start and End Dates
Solstice of Heroes kicks off on July 6, and runs until August 3 - giving you about a month to earn that glow up!
Bungie has promised news about the Witch Queen this Summer – could it tie in with the event?
