Beyond Light arrives for Destiny 2 players tomorrow, and that means plenty of content to play through.

Of course, with such a huge update comes some server downtime, and this expansion is no different.

Here's when maintenance will take place, when you'll be kicked out of the game, and when you'll be able to play Beyond Light.

Destiny 2 Beyond Light Maintenance Schedule

According to Bungie, updates will begin at 11:30 GMT on November 9 (today).

This is just background maintenance, but players will be kicked from activities at midday GMT – don't worry, you can log back in after downloading a small update.

At 2:50 GMT on November 10, players will be unable to log into the game, with the game going offline for all players at 3:00 GMT.

Players won't then be able to login to Destiny 2 until 17:00 GMT – meaning you'll be waiting for some time to jump back in.

Maintenance will finish at around 20:00 GMT.

Error Code: CAT

Bungie's history of animal-themed error codes continues, with Error Code CAT one that'll show up if you try to play without installing the latest update.

Error Code: Sheep

Error code SHEEP means a player is trying to "join a Fireteam in which any member has not updated to the latest version of Destiny. To resolve this issue, please have all players close Destiny and install the latest update".

Server Queues

Despite what the internet may tell you, Destiny 2 is still very much a popular title. As such, when expansions launch, it's not surprising to find that the game won't let you in because it's "at capacity".

There's no way to "fix" this, so sit tight, and wait it out.

How To Update On PC

On PC, Steam should prepare the download for players, meaning it'll be visible in the queue.
