As for why the rollout is a soft launch as opposed to a full implementation, we'll have to wait and see.

BattlEye is currently found in the likes of Fortnite, Escape From Tarkov, Rainbow Six: Siege, Ark: Survival Evolved and DayZ, among many more.

Destiny 2 has long had issues with cheaters on PC, particularly in the high-stakes Trials of Osiris game mode.

In recent months, Bungie has worked to shut down known cheat sellers, while also working alongside Ubisoft to take legal action against others.

Here's hoping this improves things, especially with Season 15 reportedly reworking Trials of Osiris.
