Is Deathloop Coming To Xbox?

Deathloop is an awesome-looking first-person shooter from the folks at Arkane Studios, giving PS5 owners one last hurrah before they exclusively make games for Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

Arkane Studios are under Bethesda so their future games will definitely be exclusive to the Xbox One and Xbox Series X, but many have wondered if Deathloop has a chance to break away from the PS5 exclusivity, coming to Xbox systems sometime after it hits Sony’s next-gen system.

Is Deathloop Coming To Xbox?

UPDATE: It sounds like Deathloop is only exclusive to PlayStation for a year.

In Sony's State of Play for July, the following line appears at the end:

*Also available on PC. Not available on other consoles until at least 09/14/22

Does that mean it'll come to Xbox consoles next year? It's certainly possible, with Arkane's other team working on the Xbox exclusive Redfall.

Sunset Overdrive, an Xbox exclusive developed by now-PlayStation exclusive Insomniac Games, has yet to come out on the PS4 or PS5, with Insomniac crediting the Microsoft folks for funding the game.

If Sony made a similar deal with Arkane Studios to develop Deathloop for the PS5 and PC exclusively, there’s a good chance that we’ll never see the game come to Xbox consoles.

Yes, it can be annoying but it’s not like Arkane will be making any more PS5 games after this, as it appears everything they will be making after Deathloop will only be for Xbox and PC.

Currently, Deathloop is scheduled for a September 14 release on the PS5 and PC only.
