Does Deathloop Require PS Plus?

For the uninitiated, PS Plus offers free games each month for all subscribers, but it's also required to play online on PS4 and PS5.

That's true of Deathloop, too, although it appears that playing it in single-player won't require an active membership.

The game's PlayStation Store page current notes that PS Plus is 'required for online play', and that it'll support up to two online players.

It also says that online play is optional, which follows what Arkane has said in the past.

Still, another reason to subscribe to Sony's subscription service is that it can net you a discount on the digital version of the game. You can save 10% with an active PS Plus subscription, making that next-gen price hike just a little easier to swallow.
