Why you should drop a Survivor in Dead by Daylight?

Dropping a Survivor can feel very counterproductive. After all, why should you drop a Survivor when the goal is to put them on the hook in the first place? However, if other Survivors swarm you when you're trying to take a Survivor to a hook, the best course of action is to drop them so you can swipe at them with your weapon.

You may end up losing the Survivor you originally carried, but the less Survivors on generators, the more control you get over the match and the more chance you can down more than one Survivor to take them to the hook.
