Viktor in Cyberpunk 2077 Has Earned $147 Billion from indebted players

Considering all of the controversy surrounding Cyberpunk 2077, it is hard to believe that the game has done so well. Still, tweets highlighting the sheer number of players who have paid back an in-game debt prove that the game is very well-embraced. Cyberpunk 2077 is, therefore, a very popular and contentious game.

Viktor, a Ripperdoc who helps players, can be repaid during the game. Since Viktor was kind enough to fix the player's cyberware, giving him a little bit of compensation seems right. The vast majority of players have chosen to do the right thing and pay Viktor back, which is hopefully similar to what they would do in real life.

Viktor only needs 21,000 Eurodollars, which CD Projekt Red claims can really add up. The game's developer, CD Projekt Red, revealed how much the Ripperdoc has been earning on the game's official Twitter account. Viktor made 147 billion Eurodollars since the launch of Cyberpunk 2077.

That would make Viktor from Cyberpunk 2077 the richest person in the world… If the tweet was actually true.

Eurodollars are about two dollars, so he would technically have 294 billion dollars. However, CD Projekt Red is making a false statement, and in fact, he does not have that much money. Yes, what they tweeted out was untrue.

Viktor's presence in the game exists as an independent entity for every player. It is not as if he is some sort of multi-reality world bender and can share his bank account across multiple games. Thus, in Cyberpunk 2077, he has nowhere near that much money.

Many Viktors from many realities have 21,000 Eurodollars instead. Viktor's not hurting financially, but he's not a multibillionaire. Viktor should stop giving free surgeries and start investing more if he wants to become richer. Being nice is one thing, but at a certain point, we have multi-realities with financially irresponsible Viktors.
