Free roam in Night City

Introducing the player to some of the most important characters, along with some basic tutorials, your initial experience is defined by your life path. All in all, players can expect to play around 25-40 minutes before being allowed to free roam, depending on how fast or slow you like to take things.

Once the beginning set of missions is all done and dusted, players will be able to check out Night City and begin completing side missions. Firstly, you'll need to be introduced to Dexter DeShawn, who will give players a couple of leads for a job he's planning.

At this point, you'll be able to go and forge your own path – with tasks ranging from collecting a weapon to intimidating a police officer. There's plenty to do in Night City, so be sure to check out our guides if you need any help. For instance, we have a guide on how to get your car back during the 'Human Nature' mission. But if you're still in the process of customising your character, we even have a guide on how to customise the size of your genitals in Cyberpunk 2077. Yes, you read that right.
