Cyberpunk 2077: PS5 And Xbox Series Version Will Make Full Use Of Next-Gen Capabilities

Cyberpunk 2077 has had a bit of a rocky launch with plenty of bugs, glitches and general disappointment from players on Xbox One and PS4.

Originally the title was advertised to perform well on the predecessors of next-gen consoles.

Well, it seems that wasn't the case with many asking for refunds and taking to social media to vent their anger.

According to recent comments by a member at CD Projekt Red things will change with the next-gen update.

Here's what we know on the topic.

Cyberpunk Next-Gen Changes To Come

Co-founder and joint CEO Marcin Iwinski spoke with BloombergTV stating the changes to come for Cyberpunk 2077.

They intend to use all the tech at their disposal it seems.

The updated version will be launching next year so there's plenty of time to make changes.

Many players on next-gen consoles have actually been loving the title but Iwinski says they have even more to look forward to.

He said that the game "works great because of the higher capability of the new consoles," but "with the next-gen update, we'll use all the functionalities of the new functions and technical possibilities provided by the new platforms."

We don't know exactly what details will be altered in the new version.

Although it's likely they will implement something for the PS5's DualSense.

Unfortunately, the Xbox doesn't have anything similar to the DualSense but no doubt the graphics and frame rates will improve.

As mentioned earlier last-gen players are not happy with their experience.

CD Projekt Red has offered refunds for those who don't want to wait for the January and February updates.
