Cyberpunk 2077: How To Change Appearance

Cyberpunk 2077 is here, with plenty of updates, and while it's framed from a first-person perspective, it still offers an impressive degree of customisation. This includes your character's physical appearance, as well as their Operating System, and much more.

Protagonist V's appearance is split between their body and face, and each one is changed differently. And for those who struggle with decision-making or need to switch things up regularly, a post-launch update allows us to change our characters appearance well into the game, if we wish.

But how exactly does this work? In this guide, we explain how to change your appearance in Cyberpunk 2077.

How To Change Appearance in Cyberpunk 2077

Initially, players were unable to customise their characters' appearance, gender, or hairstyle after leaving the character customisation screen at the start of Cyberpunk 2077. However, with thanks to a post-release update, players can now change the physical appearance of their characters to their hearts content while roaming Night City.

Update 1.5 landed in February, 2022, and allows players to customise their character again. To do this, you must visit the mirror in the bathroom of your apartment and inspect it. Sometimes, Johnny may appear in the mirror, and you will need to interact with the mirror again until V appears.

This may appear to be a bug, but alas, it is intended... for once! Players will be able to change their appearance at any apartment across Cyberpunk 2077, and can even change new cosmetic details like make-up.
