Update June 21:
CD Projekt Red's futuristic RPG is finally back on the PSN, after being delisted in December of last year.
“Users may continue to experience some performance issues with the PS4 edition while we continue to improve stability across all platforms,” the developer explained in a statement on Twitter.
“Playing on PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 5 will provide the best Cyberpunk 2077 experience on PlayStation.”
Original Story Follows:
Cyberpunk 2077 looks set to be returning to the PlayStation Store. While CD Projekt Red's action RPG was removed back in December 2020 after a disastrous launch, it's now reappeared through the PS5's PlayStation Store, though it's not yet visible on the web store or PS4.
Presently, you can find it by directly searching its name, which then appears with the tag 'Just Announced'. While it's remained available to be redownloaded by existing owners, anyone who doesn't currently own it can wishlist or follow it. As for a release date, it simply states "coming soon".
Cyberpunk 2077 Might Be Returning To The PlayStation Store
There's been no end of speculation about when it'd return since Sony took the decision to remove it. While Jim Ryan explained Sony's reasons for that decision in a recent interview, CD Projekt has repeatedly said they've been in continued talks with Sony about seeing it back up.
Presently, we're awaiting confirmation from Sony and CD Projekt about this surprise new development, which could indicate that Version 1.3's release is shortly imminent. As always, we'll keep you informed when we learn more.
