The Gfinity CS:GO Invitational brought to you by Omen by HP is fast approaching, as four of the world’s best teams prepare for battle at the UK’s largest games event, EGX 2016, from 22nd to 25th September at the NEC, Birmingham.

As we edge closer to the launch of the CS:GO Invitational, we’re delighted to reveal our final invitation, the all-Swedish outfit of Epsilon eSports, who will join GODSENT, Mousesport and Team EnVyUs at EGX 2016!

History

Epsilon eSports are a premier eSports organisation, who currently field competitive teams across Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, FIFA, Gears of War, Hearthstone, and Rainbow Six: Siege.

As one of the most storied organisations in Europe, Epsilon have been actively involved in the Counter Strike scene since 2008, in which they recorded their first event victory at The eXperience.

Following a brief hiatus from CS:GO at the start of the year, Epsilon have returned to the Counter Strike community with the acquisition of William “draken” Sundin, Andreas “moken” Karlsson, Fredrik “REZ” Sterner, Fredrik “freddieb” Buö, Joakim “disco doplan” Gidetun and Christian “chrille” Lindberg, continuing their eight year legacy.

Team Spotlight and Recent Performances

Since joining Epsilon eSports, the rising Swedish team have undergone a slight reshuffle, as the organisation acquired Jerry "xelos" Råberg, in place of the parting moken. However, after a string of mixed results, which saw Epsilon place 5^th-6^th at DreamHack Summer 2016 and 1st at the Pro Gamer League 2016 – Summer, Epsilon have recently decided to replace “xelos” with André "BARBARR" Möller.

Final Comments

Despite their recent roster change, team chemistry doesn’t seem to be an issue for the all-Swedish roster, as Epsilon currently sit at the top of the Esports Championship Series Season 2 - Europe Development League, following their victories over FlipSid3Tactics and Passion.

While they may be regarded as the underdogs of the CS:GO Invitational, if Epsilon eSports can maintain their current momentum, they will be serious contenders to cause a major upset.
