Elite Series CS:GO - Semi Final Preview
After seven weeks of fierce competition, four teams have finally cemented their place in the semi-finals of the Elite Series. Team EnVyUs, exceL, Prophecy and Epsilon eSports have made it into the playoffs and are ready to battle it out for the title of Elite Series Champion. In this article, I'll be previewing the semi finals.
Team EnVyUs v Prophecy
The #BoysInBlue have looked unstoppable in CS:GO. Heading into the semi finals with the top seed, I believe that EnVy are definitely the team to beat in the Elite Series. Prophecy will have to be play their best Counter Strike if they are to stand a chance of making it to the Grand Finals. Last time these teams met, EnVy decimated Prophecy with a 16-0 sweep on Cache.
Will we see another dominating performance or will Proph cause the upset of the tournament and move a step closer to becoming champions?
Prediction: 2-0 EnVyUs
exceL v Epsilon
Epsilon have maintained their second seed in the Elite Series with some very consistent performances over recent weeks. The likes of Smooya and BARBAR will need to be at their full potential if they are to take down exceL.
Qualifying for the playoffs by the skin of their teeth, exceL have shown signs of being one of the top teams in the Elite Series. Their excellent performances on the T side have often been enough to close out games. If they can string together some rounds on the CT side, they may be able to book their place in the finals.
Prediction: 2-1 Epsilon
