Hector ‘H3cz’ Rodriguez and Dexerto collaborate to form DexertoIntel.
In an announcement made yesterday via Dexerto.com, it was revealed that OpTic Gaming owner and eSports entrepreneur, Hector ‘H3cz’ Rodriguez, has joined Dexerto as a director and part-owner, in a deal which sees OpTicIntel merge with Dexerto.
As a result, OpTicIntel, along with its entire assets; Twitter and YouTube, has received a complete rebranding, and will now be known as DexertoIntel.
The amalgamation of the two brands combines over a decade worth of experience within the eSports realm, as the man behind the iconic #GreenWall, H3cz, joins the most tenured eSports outlet in Europe.
On joining Dexerto, Hector said the following:
“Today is the result of conversations that I’ve had with Dexerto over the past year, and I’m delighted to join the team as a part-owner of the company.
Dexerto’s progress and future are something I want to be a part of on both a business and personal level. Their work ethic and ambitions are values I share deeply and I’m excited to be able to work with individuals who have a unique vision in an industry I love. We’re all committed to making Dexerto the go-to website for everything eSports and I’m confident that my expertise will help to achieve that goal.”
Hector also addressed the topic in his latest video (9:30);
Through the acquisition of Intel and the addition of Hector’s experience and knowledge, Dexerto has taken another step towards their goal of becoming “the number one source of eSports news and entertainment on the planet”.
However, with a clear association to the OpTic brand, will Dexerto be able to escape the stigma of bias, or will DexertoIntel simply be seen as a way for H3cz to control the media?
Either way, I can’t wait to see what content OpTicIntel has instore for us!
Further announcements will be made in due course on exactly how the DexertoIntel assets will operate.
