Challenger Series - FAQ & How To Register

Stop Dreaming, Start Playing

As part of our dynamic and brand-new professional eSports competition, the Gfinity Elite Series, we have launched an entirely new home for our competitive Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Street Fighter V and Rocket League cups.

Now, we know most of you are long-term Gfinity fans and may already have a strong understanding of the eSports scene and our tournament structure, but for those of you who don’t, we’re here to help!

Below, we’ve listed a handy FAQ and tutorial on how you can take your first step towards an eSports career.

How do I sign up to a cup for the Challenger Series?

Step 1:

Login to your account and head to your preferred title; Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Street Fighter V or Rocket League

If you do not have a Gfinity account yet, click here to sign up for free.

Step 2:

Once you’ve clicked onto the game of your choice, find the cup you wish to enter and click it.

Please note: You can enter as many or as little cups as you want, and they are all free!

The difference between 'contender' and 'competitor' cups determines the level of players you'll be facing. If this is your first time, we recommend entering Contender Cups and once you've earned your first G-Points, move onto the Competitor Cups. If you know how to carry your team, you can start immediately with Competitor.

Step 3:

If you have not linked your relevant game account, you will be prompted to here.

To link your Gamertag, PSN or Steam I.D. please click the dropdown arrow next to your avatar in the top right hand corner of your screen to display your menu. Here you will find the ‘Game Accounts’ tab. Click it.

Alternatively, if you are already logged in, you can click this direct link

(If you already linked your game account please skip to Step 5)

Step 4:

Here, you will see all three options to link your game accounts. Click on the relevant button and enter your details to add your account.

Please note: Your account details need to be correct in order for your opponents to invite you, if you enter the wrong information or forget to update your profile, you will forfeit your match.

Step 5:

Once your profile is complete, head back to your preferred title and re-do steps 1-2.

A confirmation pop up box will appear, click ‘confirm’ to complete your registration.

If you are entering a team based tournament, don’t forget to select the correct participating players and a captain.

Step 6:

Success! You have successfully joined your first Challenger Series cup.

However, we’re not quite done yet. You will need to confirm your attendance by ‘checking-in’.

In order to ‘check-in’, you simply need to respond to an automated private message, which will be sent to you an hour before the competition start time.

We will continue to update this document, feel free to post your question in the comments if we haven't covered it in this guide.

Good luck!
