We recently reported on rumors that Crytek was hinting at a Crysis 2 remaster, and now it looks like the studio is teasing Crysis 3 remastered.

On May 28, Crytek tweeted a screenshot from a Crysis game with the double eyes emoji.

Lest there be any confusion about what the screenshot was, they followed it with another, simple tweet: “3.”

In other words, it’s a screenshot from Crysis 3, and the team wanted to make sure you understood that.

It makes sense, as leaked internal documents suggested Crytek planned on remastering all three Crysis games.

Crysis 3 Remastered Reveal

Update June 1

Crytek announced the Crysis Remastered Trilogy set for release in fall 2021. Here's everything we know about it.

Original Story

Crytek tweeted the tease on May 28, which is as close as confirmation we're likely to get until June. Fortunately, E3 and other summer gaming programs are less than a month away, so we won't have long to wait for more.

With event season on the horizon, an official reveal is surely on the way.

Crysis 3 Remastered Release Date

There's no word yet on when Crysis 3 remastered might release.

Rumors suggest the remastered trilogy was planned for 2020 before COVID derailed development, so it's possible we could see the remaining two games release sometime in fall 2021.

Crysis 3 Remastered Platforms

Crysis Remastered recently received a current-gen upgrade patch.

If Crytek has been developing Crysis Remastered 3 for a while now, which they probably have since it's being teased already, it's likely the game will launch on last-gen platforms, possibly including Nintendo Switch, and then also receive a current-gen update.
