Shiba Inu team to assist World Economic Forum in shaping Global Metaverse policy
Kusama took to Twitter to announce that the World Economic Forum has approached Shiba Inu's development team to work on global metaverse policy.
Kusama conducted a Twitter poll and asked the community to vote and share their views on whether they would like the team to participate and collaborate with the WEF.
He further tweeted how the WEF collaboration would help the Shiba Inu ecosystem discuss potential metaverse policies by sharing a table with industry leaders such as Meta, Sandbox, and Decentraland.
We would be at the table with policy makers and would help shape global policy for the MV alongside other giants like FB (bye Zuck), Sand, Decentraland etc. And please don't ask my opinion, you already know.
The Shiba Inu team has been working on developing their own metaverse venture, dubbed SHIB: The Metaverse. Shiba Inu's metaverse will be driven by blockchain technology.
At the time of writing, more than 63% of users have voted in favour of the Shiba Inu team collaborating with the World Economic Forum.
However, several Twitter users have also emphasised that the proposed venture should not delay the launch of Shibarium, the layer-two blockchain that is set to play a crucial role in burning the Shiba Inu (SHIB) token supply.
The World Economic Forum, or WEF, is an international non-governmental and lobbying organisation based in Colongny, Canton of Geneva. The organisation primarily works towards "improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas."
