Shiba Inu Coin Hits 1,000,000 Holder Milestone, According To SHIB Auditor

Shiba Inu breached the 1,000,000 holder mark yesterday, according to data from Certik, the company that audited SHIB.

Certik shows that 1,014,758 unique addresses currently own SHIB, adding 32,000 new holders yesterday. This comes just three weeks after SHIB first hit the 750,000 milestone.

Certik’s data does, however, contrast with that on Etherscan and CoinMarketCap. Etherscan suggests the number of holders is 958,000, while CoinMarketCap states SHIB has 985,000 holders.

1 Million Shiba Inu Hodlers

SHIB’s additional 250,000 holders come after the token has spent a significant amount of period dominating cryptocurrency discussions.

In the time between these two milestones, SHIB has reached several all-time highs (the latest of which was $0.00008616), overtaken Dogecoin, and topped Binance’s trading volume chart. Edward Snowden even tweeted about SHIB.

Indeed, given that exchanges dominate the top Shiba wallets by holding their users’ SHIB in larger wallets rather than one per user, the number of SHIB holders is likely much higher.

Following this achievement, the ShibArmy will look towards the next user milestones of 1,500,000 and 2,000,000. If SHIB can maintain a consistent rate of 10,000 users a day, it could reach 1,500,000 around New Year’s Day. By the end of February, it could hit 2,000,000 holders.

While SHIB is just behind Dogecoin’s market cap, it remains some way off of the total number of DOGE addresses. According to CoinMarketCap, Dogecoin has 4,544,527 unique addresses.

This isn’t the only Shiba-related milestone this month. On November 5, a petition to list SHIB on Robinhood reached 500,000 signatures.
