The Shiba Inu Game finally has its official name, with SHIB revealing the upcoming game is called Shiba Eternity.
After teasing a logo reveal yesterday, Shiba Inu revealed the name and logo as a celebration of its second birthday.
Alongside Shibarium and the Shiba Inu Metaverse, Shiba Eternity is among the most anticipated projects coming in 2022. Here's more on the latest SHIB announcement.
Shiba Eternity Announcement
The name Shiba Eternity was first announced on the official SHIB Twitter account.
"We are proud to reveal the name of the Shib CCG game, Shiba Eternity," it said.
The team also it is working "on a testing schedule" for Eternity, but gave no details about specific dates. However, previous statements suggest a September launch date is still on track.
Shiba Inu also revealed that Shiba Eternity will be available on iOS and Android devices via the App Store and Google Play Store. It did not mention the previously planned PC version.
Alongside this, Shytoshi Kusama revealed two new cards for the upcoming game - Ancestral Blessing and Sold Early. The Ancestral Blessing card grants friendly cards a boost, while the Sold Early card sees everyone discard all cards.
Meanwhile, the Shiba Inu Discord now features a Shiba Eternity channel. The channel gives the following description of the upcoming game.
Shiba Eternity features 10,000 Shiboshi heroes, jaw-dropping visuals, hundreds of uniquely beautiful cards, action-packed battles, and an awe-inspiring lore-driven environment that draws you into each heart-stopping encounter.
However, away from the marketing speak, prospective players have yet to see any full gameplay of Shiba Eternity, just over a month before the possible launch. Players also don't know the specific blockchain functionalities supported.
As Shiba Eternity draws closers, holders will likely start asking further questions about potential SHIB burn support, or how it could boost the Shiba Inu price.
