Crash On The Run has managed to capture a lot of our nostalgic hearts, as the platforming icon has managed to make the transition to mobile gaming incredibly well, using the auto-runner genre and adding classic Crash Bandicoot elements to make the game feel like a genuine installment of the series, which is impressive since a good number of mobile games based on classic properties tend to be bad.
Many fans have been curious about Crash On The Run and if the mobile game is for them, so they will probably be happy to know that Crash Bandicoot’s mobile debut is free-to-play, meaning anyone with an Apple or Android device can download the game and see for themselves if the title is for them or if they should just save up for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.
How Much Is Crash On The Run?
Crash On The Run is free to download but includes in-app purchases.
Unfortunately, despite some of its positive qualities, it can't escape those free-to-play trappings that might annoy gamers; so if that irks you a lot, don’t even bother.
That being said, even with all of those things that tend to annoy people, there’s a lot to like about Crash On The Run, whether it’s the cartoony graphics or the surprisingly faithful gameplay, there’s a lot to like here.
While free-to-play trappings are definitely annoying, Crash Bandicoot fans will be happy to see a number of these classic gameplay bits in Crash On The Run, including time trials and levels where you have to break every box.
The fact that Crash goes through finite levels instead of just running into infinity is also a nice tough, since it allows for more detailed levels for players to go through.
Crash On The Run is a free-to-play game available now on iOS and Android devices.
