Xbox Series X and Series S: How To Enable Ray Tracing, All Supported Games


Xbox Series S and Series X both sport ray tracing, a lighting technique that essentially maps light straight from the source.

It was too much for last-gen consoles to handle, but even the Xbox Series S, the cheapest way to get into the new generation, is capable of handling this new feature!

Unfortunately, there's no way to turn it on at the system level, so developers will need to implement it – but luckily, it looks as though they're already on board.

Of course, plenty of new games will target ray-tracing, so expect this list to grow.

CD Projekt Red has confirmed next-gen enhancements for Cyberpunk 2077 are planned, which is likely to be a perfect showcase for the tech.

Then there's the potential for developers to add it to Xbox One games that are moving to Series S/X.
