Xbox Live services are experiencing a few issues this evening, but the latest server status issues impacting the games service on March 15 might be a result of wider issues for Microsoft.
According to Windowscentral the problems currently impacting Xbox Live are linked to a wider issue with Microsoft Azure.
"The outage has taken down several Microsoft services, including Microsoft Teams, Xbox Live, and Office 365", Windowscentra explained.
The issues appear to be impacting users right across the globe and appear to be preventing most services and basic online functions from working properly.
For those who don't know, Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service created by Microsoft for "building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centres."
In response, Xbox Support tweeted fans to say:
"Our teams are aware that some users may experience difficulties with Game Streaming and Purchases at the moment. Know that our teams are working to get things resolved as we Tweet. We'll be sure to post updates here as they become available."
Meanwhile, the official Microsoft account for updates on certain Microsoft 365 service incidents has also been keeping fans updated on the issues, as seen below:
