PS5 is just around the corner and will offer a redesigned store for purchasing PS5 games and DLC.

That store has already found its way onto the PS4, but fans aren't best pleased about it.

PS5 Store Missing Key Features From PS4

As noted by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad, it looks as though the PS4 has lost multiple features in the transition to the new store.

Changes came into effect over the last few days that prevent users from buying the following:

  • PlayStation 3 Games and Add-Ons
  • PSP Games and Add-Ons
  • PlayStation Vita Games and Add-ons
  • Apps
  • Themes
  • Avatars

It's not all that surprising that PS3, PSP and Vita games are being removed (but are still purchasable through the web store), but perhaps the most startling omission is the wishlist.

Previously a place to add games you were keeping an eye on, tracking prices for, or just saving up for, the Wishlist feature is gone entirely. Any games that were listed there have been removed.

Of course, you'll still be able to buy the games, but you won't be able to track price fluctuations and the like.

It's in stark contrast to Microsoft's store, which allows wish lists and even gifting games to friends, more like you'd find on Steam.
