Microsoft's two-day slate of live streams called Game Stack Live is back, and is promising some impressive deep dives into plenty of areas within Xbox and gaming in general.
While this isn't generally a consumer-focused event, it can be fascinating to listen to some of the brightest minds in the industry discuss the tech, processes, and ideas that power the games we play.
Last year we got some interesting tidbits about Xbox Series X and Project xCloud, so we could be in for a treat.
Here's everything we know about this year's event.
When Is Game Stack Live?
Game Stack will air on April 21 and 22.
We're waiting for the information on how to watch, but last year's showcase was available on YouTube and Twitch.
Still, you can register your interest now.
What Is Game Stack Live?
"At Game Stack Live, you can expect just about everything that you love about IRL events but from the comfort of your own home. Game Stack Live will feature dozens of talks from developers, opportunities to network and a splash of education about the platforms, tools and services empowering game developers from Microsoft and beyond", a Microsoft press release said.
Viewers can expect over 40 different sessions from industry professionals on the following topics:
- System & Tools
- Production & Publishing
- Accessibility & Inclusion
You can see a full list of scheduled discussions here.
Expect Microsoft first-party developers to be involved, with a Tier 2 Variable Rate Shading in Gears talk focused on Gears 5 and Gears Tactics.
There are also talks focused around the Xbox Velocity Architecture you'll find in the Xbox Series S and X consoles.
