Call of Duty games may have varied on quality over the years but fans have always loved the fact that their Call of Duty Points tend to transfer between games.
These points are the main currency for the various cosmetics you can buy for the game’s multiplayer and the fact that Activision has made sure players can keep their points in newer games has been a godsend to many.
Will COD Points Carry Over To COD 2021?
With Call of Duty 2021 likely getting announced sooner or later, many fans have wondered if Activision will continue having Call of Duty Points transferred between games.
Currently, if you have Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War linked to the same account, you will be able to share Call of Duty Points between the games and purchase whatever cosmetic items you want or the Battle Pass.
The points even transfer to the free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone, though, once again, you will need to connect these games with the same account.
Since this has proven to be a successful method for Activision, it's doubtful that this feature will be removed anytime soon.
The fact that these games are released yearly at full-price is a lot for fans so being able to keep their in-game currency would be a great move.
If there are any plans to stop points being carried over, they need to be scrapped right away since Call of Duty fans seem to be very loyal.
It will be interesting to see what Call of Duty 2021 does differently from Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare, though we’re sure that it will still be a first-person shooter with multiplayer and zombie modes.
We understand mixing up the genres of war to make these games more interesting but carrying over points is one of those things you just don’t fix (or break).
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
