Is Call of Duty Vanguard Single Player?


After weeks of leaks and speculation, the title for the next Call of Duty game has been confirmed as Vanguard, much to the excitement of the community eagerly awaiting more information on the new first-person shooter. Typically, a modern-day COD title features multiplayer and a co-op mode but in recent years, some developers have opted for an increased focus on these modes, leading to a lack of single-player action.

Black Ops 4 never featured a campaign, but the 2019 reboot of Modern Warfare contained a spectacular single-player storyline which eventually paved the way for the universe that revolves around the city of Verdansk. With that said, will COD Vanguard contain a single-player campaign?

Does Call of Duty: Vanguard Have Single-Player?

After the first cinematic trailer gave players a first look at Vanguard, Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that there will be a single-player campaign alongside multiplayer and Zombies. The storyline is said to take place across four areas:

  • Eastern Front
  • Western Front
  • Pacific Front
  • North Africa

Just like the previous Call of Duty campaigns, it's likely that there will be anywhere between ten and 20 missions for players to complete. Based on the location of the teasers mentioned above, the storyline is likely to take place in a variety of settings involving a number of characters.

For a closer look at the campaign, a full walkthrough of a mission will be taking place at Gamescom on the opening night taking place on August 25th at 7PM BST.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is scheduled to release on November 5th on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
