Leaks and rumours surrounding COD 2021 have died down since details surrounding its working title, setting, and potential storyline were revealed. While focus has diminished on the upcoming release, it appears that the development may not be going as planned for Sledgehammer Games.
Reportedly titled WWII: Vanguard, the game will mark another Call of Duty title set in World War 2 and its setting has been met with a mixed reception from the often passionate community.
Notable Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson has posted an update on the development of Vanguard and for those hoping for some positive news surrounding the title, it's not good news.

WWII: Vanguard Development "A Disaster"
In a Tweet posted on April 7th, Henderson reveals that Vanguard is "a f**king disaster" which isn't exactly positive news for a game slated to release in Q4 of 2021.
The comment came after he expressed his thoughts on Call of Duty developers after the most recent update arrived to Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. "It just feels like the passion has been sucked out of every studio and working from home has made everyone lazy," he said.

Cause For Concern?
With around seven months until WWII: Vanguard releases across the globe, time is certainly ticking and considering Henderson's impressive track record when it comes to leaking information, there is cause for concern.
The pandemic has certainly hindered the capabilities of several studios, resulting in the delay of many titles that were initially set to release in 2021.
Is there a chance that Activision may delay the release of WWII: Vanguard to grant Sledgehammer Games additional time to work on the game or will the publisher release a game that isn't finished?
We will have to wait and see...
