Activision and Sledgehammer announced a Call of Duty Vanguard open beta extension for all users. Now, the Vanguard beta will be available until 1 p.m. EDT/6 p.m. BST on September 22.
Sledgehammer offered no reason for the extension, though the Vanguard beta ran into no shortage of trouble with cheaters over the weekend. While that might seem at odds with Activision's promise of new crusades against cheaters, the improved Call of Duty anti-cheat software won't actually deploy until Vanguard launches in November.

Call of Duty Vanguard Beta Gets Extended
The Vanguard beta gives you access to four of the game's rumored 20 multiplayer maps, including one in Paris, Germany, Stalingrad, and Japan.
In July, the state of California sued Activision Blizzard for discrimination and harassment against employees. Numerous allegations emerged soon after from workers corroborating the initial accounts, while evidence of past workplace toxicity and abuse began surfacing online. Employees formed an informal organization and demanded a better response from management, though while some leading figures have departed in the scandal's wake, CEO Bobby Kotick has yet to formally acknowledge any of the allegations - including those from investors - and maintains wrongdoing will be investigated by third party group WilmerHale, a law firm known for anti-union activities. In September, Blizzard employees sued the company for intimidation and other union-busting activities.
