It's been a long journey for Super Bomberman R. First released as a Nintendo Switch launch game, its since made the jump to PS4, Xbox One, and PC but last year, we got a surprise battle royale spin-off. Calling this Super Bomberman R Online, that came to consoles last June and now, Season 2's upon us.
To celebrate this new launch, Konami's added a brand new bomber, Castlevania's Soma Cruz, protagonist of Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow. Cruz marks the fourth Castlevania character to join. Previously, we'd seen Simon Belmont, Richter Belmont and the son of Dracula, Alucard.

Super Bomberman R Online Gets New Castlevania Crossover With Soma Cruz
Available for 500 Bomber Coins from the in-game shop, Cruz brings the 'Power of Dominance' ability, which "seals and temporarily copies the special abilities of characters" who touch his bats.
Otherwise, Season 2's latest updates include significant character balancing, increasing firepower for Blue/Red/Black but buffing Richter, Lance, Old Snake and Pyramid Head. New items are also available through the renewed Gold and Silver Battle passes.
