The start of Season 4 Reloaded is just around the corner and while the first half of the season may not have lived up to the dizzying heights reached in Season 3, there is still a lot of content expected to arrive within the world of Warzone. So far, the only major changes to the battle royale have been the additions of the C58 assault rifle, the MG82 light machine gun, and the presence of satellite wreckages that have fallen across Verdansk.

Other than those additions, the current season of post-launch content has been somewhat underwhelming which has led to players already switching focus to what could be arriving to Warzone in Season 5. Can Raven Software escape the Gulag with its next dose of content? Here's what to expect in Season 4 Reloaded.

According to the roadmap that was unveiled at the beginning of Season 4, the mid-season update will feature two brand-new additions to the weapon arsenal. The first is the OTs 9 submachine gun, a compact and extremely mobile gun armed with a high rate of fire. Based on the performance of all new weaponry to arrive in Warzone during the Black Ops Cold War era, it's highly likely that the OTs 9 will make an impact on the existing metagame.

The second weapon arriving is the Mace melee weapon and will be the ideal choice for those looking for an unorthodox weapon to use on the streets of Verdansk and Rebirth Island. Expect the Mace to be extremely effective in extremely close-quarters scenarios where reaction times will prevail over which player has the stronger weapon.

Warzone Season 4 Reloaded Meta

After the last dose of weapon balancing, Warzone developer Raven Software revealed that it is looking at increasing the time-to-kill (TTK) across the entire weapon arsenal by 60 to 100 milliseconds. Although it may not sound like a lot, the change is likely to have a huge impact on the existing metagame which has been relatively stable in recent months. The days of the AMAX meta could be numbered...

According to Raven, the increase in TTK is being made in a bid to increase the skill ceiling within Warzone and to create even more weapon variety within the loadouts of players. With more viable Warzone guns available, there is every chance that Season 4 Reloaded could transform the season into one of the most balanced in its short history.

Despite the appearance of satellite wreckages, the current iteration of Verdansk set in 1984 has received minimal changes since its arrival. With players constantly requesting new points of interest to be added, Season 4 Reloaded could be the perfect time to do so. Depending on where the next chapter in the conflict between Stitch and Adler is heading, there is every chance that the mid-season update could add a few new areas to explore as Activision begins to lay the foundations for Season 5. Will the mysterious Mine Shaft finally open its doors? We will have to wait and see.
