Season 3 of Warzone is in full swing and alongside the launch of a brand-new iteration of Verdansk set in 1984, developer Raven Software has implemented a range of changes to the weapon arsenal in a bid to provide some kind of balance to the battle royale's metagame.

With plenty of buffs and nerfs affecting several popular weapons including the M16 and the FFAR 1 assault rifle, players are experimenting with a variety of weapons that could feature in the loadouts of millions.

Thanks to the additions of the PPSH-41 submachine gun and the Swiss K31 sniper rifle, there are more weapons that are more than capable of making an impact on the streets of Verdansk.

So what exactly is the Warzone Season 3 meta and the best guns to be using?

Warzone Season 3 Meta

As players begin to explore the map, they will find that there are no Modern Warfare weapons available as ground loot, meaning the only way to access them is by equipping them in a pre-set loadout and purchasing a Loadout Drop.

In terms of Modern Warfare weaponry, the CR-56 AMAX assault rifle is proving popular thanks to its minimal damage drop-off and numerous attachment combinations making it one of the strongest rifles to be using.

The Kilo 141 is still another solid choice along with the M13 which features one of the fastest fire rates for any AR in the game.

Black Ops Cold War's weapons are just as strong, with the M16 tactical rifle and the FARA 83 currently dominating the early-season meta. For something more mobile, the FFAR 1 assault rifle is still a popular choice despite receiving a nerf along with the LC10 submachine gun which received a buff to improve its long-distance performance.
