Warzone's World War 2 Map Will Have Destructible Elements

As Season 4 of Warzone continues to progress, many players are already beginning to turn their attention to the future of the hugely popular battle royale title that launched back in March 2020. In recent weeks, there have been several leaks surrounding the next steps for Warzone, including a list of points of interest that will feature on a brand-new map set in the Pacific.

The new map is said to be significantly larger than Verdansk, which recently took a trip back in time to 1984 in order to further embed Black Ops Cold War into the Warzone universe. While several players are enjoying the current map, leaks continue to emerge surrounding the new map expected to arrive later on in 2021.

This particular leak is certainly exciting for those players that are after a bit more realism.

According to notable Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson, the upcoming Pacific map will feature a range of destructible environments, much to the excitement of players that could drop into a map that changes appearance in every single match. In his June 24th upload, Henderson unveils a range of information surrounding the new Warzone map alongside details on Call of Duty: WWII Vanguard.

"There will be destructible environments to some degree," Henderson reveals in the video. Rather than the full-scale destruction that features in Battlefield titles, Warzone's Pacific map will feature levels of destruction that are similar to that in Rainbow Six: Siege.

While a multi-storey building won't collapse into a pile of rubble, players will be able to destroy doors, knock over trees, and break down specific walls that could open up an all-new line of sight to take advantage of. It's certainly a radical change to Warzone, will it prove popular? We will have to wait and see!

Warzone World War 2 Map Release Date

The Pacific Warzone map is expected to release at exactly the same time as WWII: Vanguard, meaning its release date will be part of a huge day for Call of Duty content. Vanguard is still on track to meet its Q4 release window, meaning players can expect to drop into the new map in early November.
