The SA87 light machine gun (LMG) rarely features on the streets of Verdansk and Rebirth Island due to its sluggish mobility and being extremely difficult to control thanks to high recoil levels. With plenty of flaws, it's no surprise to see many Warzone players avoiding this particular weapon in favour of something else.
As Season 4 Reloaded gets underway, it's unlikely that the LMG will become a part of the metagame but for those wanting something a bit more unorthodox to use in their loadouts, this weapon is the ideal candidate.
With the right set of attachments equipped, the SA87 can often outperform assault rifles and other LMGs available to select.
In this guide, find the best Warzone attachments to use and the best loadouts to use in Modern Warfare!
SA87 Warzone Best Attachments
- Monolithic Suppressor (Muzzle)
- 60 Round Mags (Ammunition)
- Commando Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Sleight of Hand (Perk)
- Tac Laser (Laser)
This particular set of attachments will provide one of the highest damage ranges that can be achieved, making the SA87 incredibly powerful in mid-range and close-quarters combat.
Recoil is reduced thanks to the Merc Foregrip, drastically improving levels of control while Sleight of Hand improves reload speed in order for you to remain in the heart of the action for longer periods of time.
SA87 Best Modern Warfare Loadouts
Class 1 - Recoil Control
The recoil on the SA87 can be very difficult to master. This class will make it much easier to manage.
- Muzzle Brake (Muzzle)
- Operator Reflex (Optic)
- FSS SA87 Heavy Stock (Stock)
- Rubberized Grip Tape (Rear Grip)
- Commando Foregrip (Underbarrel)
This combination of attachments does everything to manage the recoil levels in order to make the weapon much more controllable when in a long-range gunfight.
- Cold Blooded (Perk 1)
- Ghost (Perk 2)
- Tune Up (Perk 3)
The first two perks keep you invisible from the majority of killstreaks in the game while speeds up the progress rate of your selected field upgrade.
- Semtex (Lethal)
- Decoy Grenade (Tactical)
The choice of lethal equipment is down to personal preference but do use the decoy grenade to your advantage. It is a great tool do draw the enemy out into the open, making them an easy target for you to take down.
- EMP Drone
The EMP drone is great to disrupt any enemy electronics in a chosen area of the map.
- Cluster Strike (5 Kills)
- Emergency Airdrop (8 Kills)
- Support Helo (11 Kills)
This streak combination offers a bit of everything – clusters of mortars reigning down onto the opposition, care packages for you and your team and a massive helicopter hovering around the map taking down anyone that moves.
Class 2 - Semi-Auto Slayer
This second class is perfect for utilising the single-fire firing mode on the SA87.
- SA87 18.2” Factory (Barrel)
- Integral Hybrid (Optic)
- SA87 Ultralight Hollow (Stock)
- Granulated Grip Tape (Rear Grip)
- Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)
Ideal for picking enemies off at long range, this combination of attachments controls recoil when firing on both modes of fire and provides great levels of accuracy too.
- Quick Fix (Perk 1)
- High Alert (Perk 2)
- Amped (Perk 3)
High alert can often be the difference between life and death on the battlefield. Having increased awareness when aiming down sight (ADS), the ability to regenerate health at a faster rate and rapid weapon swap speed makes this a class perfect for the more passive of players.
- Proximity Mines (Lethal)
- Smoke Grenade (Tactical)
A well-placed proxy mine is a very easy way to secure a kill. Further conceal it by popping the smoke on it for the ultimate surprise!
- Stopping Power Rounds
When using the single-fire mode, you need every advantage against your fully automatic opponents. Stopping power rounds adds extra damage making the time to kill extremely fast.
- Counter UAV (4 Kills)
- Infantry Assault Vehicle (7 Kills)
- VTOL Jet (8 Kills)
These streaks are close together, making them one of the more deadly combinations without scoring too many consecutive kills. Fully utilise the ability to guide your VTOL to cover your movements around the map.
Class 3 - OP AR
The third and final loadout offers extra mobility, allowing you to contend with Assault Rifle (AR) players in gunfights at any range.
- SA87 12.4” Factory (Barrel)
- 1mW Laser (Laser)
- Forge TAC CQB Comb (Stock)
- Stippled Grip Tape (Rear Grip)
- Merc Foregrip (Underbarrel)
A shorter barrel does minimally reduce the damage range but it also makes the gun much more deadly in close quarters combat.
- Double Time (Perk 1)
- Hardline (Perk 2)
- Battle Hardened (Perk 3)
While double time increases the length of tactical sprint, battle hardened increases your resistance to both flash and stun grenades which is perfect when an opponent attempts to catch you out.
- Frag Grenade (Lethal)
- Stim (Tactical)
The frag grenade is the perfect piece of equipment that can be used in most situations while stim provides fast health regeneration meaning you don’t have to find cover quickly and wait to get back into the action.
- Dead Silence
Dead silence is the best way to traverse the map without alerting any opponents to your location. It is great to use when sneaking up on a camper hiding in a corner.
- Care Package (4 Kills)
- Precision Airstrike (5 Kills)
- White Phosphorus (10 Kills)
Placing an airstrike in a big open space on the map can acquire a lot of kills in a very short space of time. White phosphorus may be difficult to score but it does gradually damage all opponents, making them easy to take down for you and your fellow teammates.
