Season 1 of Warzone Pacific is well underway and while players are continuing to drop into Caldera, the variety of bugs and glitches plaguing the hugely popular battle royale has dampened the enthusiasm of the community significantly. Ranging from players disappearing to the Gulag at random to the game completely crashing when accessing a Buy Station, Raven Software certainly has its work cut out in order to create a smooth gameplay experience once again.
Despite many enjoying their time on Caldera, some players have been reminiscing about Verdansk, the first Warzone map that quickly became a hit. With that said, will Verdansk return to Warzone in a future update?

Will Verdansk Come Back To Warzone?
In a Call of Duty blog post published prior to the Pacific switch, it stated that "Warzone will be preparing for the end of Verdansk as we know it," heavily suggesting that the map may never see the light of day ever again which might come as a disappointment to some players. Just as it looked like Verdansk was written into the history books, another blog post written by Activision suggested that it may not be the end for the iconic map.
"Expect a spectacular and fitting end to your time in Verdansk as we say farewell to the Kastovian city...forever?"
This is certainly interesting wording if the map is unlikely to return. Is there a chance that we could be seeing Verdansk make a return at a later date? Perhaps we will see the map closer to the release of COD 2022, heavily rumoured to be a sequel to 2019's Modern Warfare.
When Will Verdansk Return?
With the current likelihood of Verdansk making a return being relatively slim, fans of the map will have to wait a while before there are any signs of the map making a return. There's a chance it could appear in the latter stages of Season 6 in 2022 but it's fair to say that Raven Software seems keen on making Caldera a more permanent home for Call of Duty's battle royale.
