Season 6 of Warzone is in full swing and as players begin to explore the huge changes to Verdansk and get their hands on new weaponry, some players were surprised to see the appearance of the STG 44 and the M1 Garand from Call of Duty: Vanguard within the battle royale.
Eagle-eyed players were quick to spot the new additions to the arsenal, leading many to question why two Vanguard weapons had arrived over a month before integration is expected to take place. Some players were lucky enough to drop into Verdansk and use the weapons! But why are the STG and M1 Garand in Warzone?
Vanguard Weapons Appearing In Warzone
Both weapons arrived into the game alongside the Grav assault rifle and the .410 Ironhide shotgun but there were no details on how to unlock them. The community was quick to find a workaround and managed to get their hands on them in private matches and were even able to customise them with a range of attachments.
As the Tweet above shows, it looks like Vanguard's weapons in Warzone will feature a total of ten attachments, double the amount available for the Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War arsenal. Shortly after players began posting footage of the weapons in action, Warzone developer Raven Software quickly disabled Private Matches in order to investigate the issue.
Why Are Vanguard Weapons In Warzone?
With the integration between the two games right around the corner, it's likely that the STG 44 and the M1 Garand will play a part in Warzone's transition from Verdansk to the Pacific. It could also be a test for Raven Software to see how some of Vanguard's most popular weapons fare against the rest of the Warzone arsenal.
Vanguard Warzone Integration Date
Although there has been no official confirmation, rumours are currently pointing towards Vanguard's integration into Warzone taking place on November 23rd, the same day as the start of Season One.
