Warzone December 16th Update Leaves Game Unplayable

Season 1 of Warzone Pacific is now live, and as players continue to drop into Caldera, Raven Software has made a slew of updates to the game, including the addition of new guns and Operators, as some of the most significant changes to the battle royale.

With the holiday season being around the corner, the Festive Fervor event was introduced in the latest update. This new patch was supposed to trigger the Christmas-themed content, but it appears to have broken the game instead.

Along with the playlist update that went live on December 16th, this year’s Christmas event was also introduced in Warzone. However, instead of being a merry experience, it appears the event is the source of game crashes across all platforms. Reddit user ‘Seth-555’ took to Warzone’s subreddit to inquire about the latest crashes.

Many in the community quickly came to an agreement and expressed that they were facing the same issue. “Yeah man, buy stations freeze my lobby, so do other random things like walking. Actually last night my game crashed sitting in the lobby searching for a game,” a user said.

Professional COD player Tyler ‘FeLo’ Johnson took to Twitter to express their concerns as well. They stated that the latest update has made them lag out of every game and lobby.

When Will Festive Event Crashes Be Fixed?

Raven Software is yet to address this issue officially but there will most likely be a fix deployed soon. The lag and eventual crash are rendering the game unplayable and such a widespread issue is usually followed up by a quick fix by the developers.

While we wait for the fix to be deployed, check out the best Caldera landing spots and the return of Rebirth Island in the game.
