Typically, preloading the Season 1 update takes place a few days prior to the new season going live. This is to enable all players to ensure the update is ready to go prior to release, which is ideal for those that don't have a fast internet connection. Thanks to Vanguard's optimisation, it's believed that the Season 1 update won't be too large which is great news if hard drive space is limited.

While there's been no official confirmation on when Vanguard's preloading will commence, @PlaystationSize has reported that the update will begin rolling out on December 6th at 6PM GMT for some users. Here's a complete breakdown of the update preload times:

- Second 3rd of users: December 6th at 10PM GMT
- All remaining users: December 7th at 3AM GMT
