Raven Software Says Lighting Issues In Verdansk '84 Will Be Fixed

Season 3 of Warzone is in full swing and as players continue to drop into the action inside Verdansk and Rebirth Island, players are still expressing their frustrations surrounding the bright lighting on Verdansk '84.

Since the new map released at the beginning of the season, players haven't been happy about the in-game weather, stating that the bright sunlight has made it difficult to see clearly during a gunfight. Not ideal when you're trying to evade the Gulag.

With calls for Raven Software to alter the weather showing no signs of slowing down, Lead Warzone VFX Artist Reed Shingledecker revealed that some kind of changes will be made.

Here's everything we know about Warzone's lighting change.

Warzone Verdansk 84 Lighting Changes

Shingledecker addressed the problem after Dexerto published an article revealing that players were growing tired of the sun lensflare negatively impacting their gameplay.

Shingledecker said that he would be happy to look and address any VFX concerns, much to the delight of the community that have recently been calling for the developer to use Rebirth Island's recently-added lighting into Verdansk '84.

Although a complete overhaul to the lighting may be out of the designer's hands, he also stated that any further feedback should be sent to Raven Software.

The lead developer of Warzone has been praised for its recent wave of transparency and clarity surrounding recent changes to the game, often justifying why certain changes have been made. A refreshing change over Infinity Ward's lengthy silences while it was in charge of the battle royale.
