Season 4 of Warzone is well underway and players have taken a shine to the brand-new light machine gun (LMG) known as the MG 82.
Featuring one of the fastest rates of fire in the entire Warzone arsenal combined with seemingly limitless customisation options, the LMG quickly worked its way into the loadouts of many players.
In the run-up to the start of the season, LMGs were slowly coming back into the metagame as alternatives to the fully-equipped assault rifles in a bid to gain the upper hand over the opposition.
Despite the incredible popularity of the MG 82, many players are calling for Raven Software to intervene before the weapon dominates the ever-changing metagame. The Warzone developer responded, and revealed that changes are on the way, much to the delight of the vocal player base.
Here's everything you need to know about the MG 82 receiving a nerf!
Warzone MG 82 Nerf
With such vocal feedback being expressed from Warzone players, Raven Software posted an update surrounding some potential balancing.
Making reference to the hugely successful Zombies mode, Raven stated that an adjustment to the MG 82 and its epic performance on the streets of Verdansk and Rebirth Island will be coming "soon."
When Will The MG 82 Get Nerfed?
Considering that Season 4 is still in its early stages and Raven Software has already revealed its intentions to clamp down on the MG 82, the developer, didn't reveal an exact date as to when the much-needed dose of weapon tuning will be arriving to the battle royale.
With playlist updates going live every Thursday, there's every chance that a nerf to the MG 82 will also be implemented alongside the new playlists that inject a breath of fresh air on a weekly basis.
