Modern Warfare 2019 Battle Royale: Locations For Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Battle Royale

Modern Warfare information has been in full swing recently.

The Modern Warfare 2019 weapons, perks, killstreaks, game modes and maps have started to reveal themselves.

One thing we're waiting to hear more about is the inclusion of a battle royale, so far we know only so much about a Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale; at the moment its existence is purely speculative.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was the first game in the franchise to feature a battle royale, Blackout features the traditional Call of Duty mechanics along with battle royale elements and has been hugely successful thanks to the numerous map and meta changes to keep the game fresh.

One great aspect about it is that it features Black Ops maps as the major locations and points of interest.

Here are 10 potential locations that could be great on a battle royale map.

Rust

Synonymous for its chaotic gameplay, Rust would be perfect for a Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale map.

Imagine being in the final two and hitting an insane snipe off the top of the Rust tower?! Considering its timeless lure, it would be a popular spot with frantic opening exchanges.

Countdown

Set in a Russian missile launch facility, Countdown would make an ideal place for a dynamic event to occur during a Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale match.

Favouring mid to long range weaponry, the outskirts of the map would make for a good vantage point to scout any players attempting to run the gauntlet of crossing the exposed missile hatches.

SSDD

The large desert military facility from the Modern Warfare 2 campaign would be an ideal addition to a Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale map.

With plenty of hangars for loot and a firing range, it could be a potential hot spot to get some early pick ups.

You can already imagine the inevitable pandemonium as players scramble to get their hands on a strong Modern Warfare 2019 weapon in the early game.

Village

From Modern Warfare 3, Village offers a mix of close quarters engagements along with some long lines of sight, making it a good place for snipers to take down enemies unaware of their surroundings.

Play it safe and be stealthy in the darkness of the cave, which is behind the waterfall, or go all guns blazing in the tightly packed village area.

Final circle situations could create for some intense face-offs in a Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale.

Scrapyard

Scrapyard would also be a great location in a Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale map.

With new leaning mechanics arriving on October 25th, players could easily lean around a warehouse doorway or a section of destroyed aeroplane to take down unsuspecting players, you could even sit in the rafters of one of the warehouses with a sniper to secure some high kill wins.

Afghan

As an iconic Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer map, it’d be rude not to include Afghan into a Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale map.

With the potential of Afghan being situated near Scrapyard, Rust or SSDD, Afghan has always been a haven for snipers and definitely needs to be a feature of a potential Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale.

Wet Work

Like Hijacked on Blackout, the shipping tanker from the prologue of the Modern Warfare Remastered campaign would definitely be a welcome addition to any water areas on a Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale map.

Littered with shipping containers, which would make excellent places to place high-level loot, while the gantries at opposing ends of the ship would make ideal vantage points to survey the scene.

It would be great to explore the inside of the ship from the campaign mission, offering plenty of intense and action-packed gameplay.

Bloc

With its two tower blocks, Bloc would offer plenty of close quarters gameplay all while players in the opposite building try to pick them off.

If this map was made to be as large and unique as it's campaign equivalent, it would be an extremely attractive drop zone; it would be a looters haven.

From a tactical point of view, it would offer great moments for teams to flank the opposition and require real coordination to come out unscaved in a Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale.

Overgrown

Consisting of wide-open spaces, lots of buildings to hide and numerous places to blend into the surroundings, Overgrown offers the potential for all styles of play in a Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale. As there are so many contrasting buildings, every engagement would be different.

Last on the list is Chinatown from Call of Duty 4. Its unique setting would make an ideal addition to a new area or as a separate entity.

Giving players plenty of opportunity to play their own way thanks to the long sightlines, lots of buildings to overlook passers by and big spaces for vehicles to patrol. With so many crafty corners, Chinatown would be an amazing endgame location in Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale.
