Is The FFAR 1 Getting Nerfed In Warzone Season 2 Reloaded?

Season 2 Reloaded for Warzone is underway across all platforms.

While the Zombies continue to work their way across Verdansk, the halfway point of the season will mark the launch of Season 2 Reloaded and will see a fresh wave of brand-new content arrive to the battle royale.

Although the current metagame is relatively balanced, the likes of the AUG and the FFAR 1 have featured heavily in the loadouts of several players thanks to their deadly in-game performance.

With some deeming the FFAR 1 as overpowered, could the popular rifle be on the receiving end of a nerf in an upcoming update?

According to @ModernWarzone, Black Ops Cold War hasn’t received any kind of weapon balancing in over 90 days. Despite Treyarch not being in control of Warzone, weapon balancing for Warzone often takes place at the same time.

But it was confirmed by Treyarch the weapon is receiving a change in the new Season 2 Reloaded udpate.

But what does that mean for Warzone? Warzone tends to get similar adjustments, or at least, gets adjustments at similar times.

As one of the most popular rifles to use thanks to its incredible rate of fire and sheer versatility when used in close-quarters and mid-range engagements, the chances of the FFAR 1 being nerfed are extremely high.

Despite the AUG receiving a nerf, there was no mention of a FFAR 1 nerf in the patch notes but after further investigation, it appears that the aim down sight time of the FFAR 1 has been increased, meaning the weapon has received a silent nerf.

The Best FFAR 1 Alternatives

With the days of the FFAR 1 seemingly numbered, there are plenty of rapid-fire weapons that can be used in place of the assault rifle.

Prior to the FFAR 1’s spike in popularity, the MAC-10 submachine gun dominated in close-range combat thanks to its lethal rate of fire and huge magazine that could be equipped. Despite it being nerfed during Season 1, it’s still a very effective weapon to be selecting in a loadout.

Modern Warfare’s MP5 is another safe bet. The SMG has often featured as one of the best weapons to be used when up close and personal with the opposition and with the FFAR 1 seemingly out of action, I would recommend switching out the FFAR with a fully-equipped MP5.
