While Black Ops Cold War is clearly the main focus for most Call of Duty fans, there are still a ton of people who put their attention to Call of Duty: Warzone. Though the game is far from the most original shooter out there, the fact that it made battle royale games more interesting should be commended. With a new season of Black Ops Cold War coming and a new Warzone update coming as well, fans are curious if the current map will be replaced.
Call of Duty: Warzone - Is the Verdansk Warzone Map Going Away?
Verdansk has been the main map of Warzone for a while now but the upcoming update suggests that a number of mysterious changes are coming to the area. Leakers of the game have claimed a big nuke event is coming to Warzone, which will introduce a brand-new map for players to shoot each other in. No concrete proof of this has been confirmed but it's something.
Images of the Warzone Season 2 update include a Vodianoy ship, which suggests that an even bigger threat is coming to the free-to-play shooter. Right now, it’s too soon to guess what this new enemy could be but that should be enough to get the attention of hardcore Call of Duty fans.
Activision did confirm that Warzone Season 2 would introduce a number of new things but are playing coy when it comes to the full story. They did state that there are new “points of interest” that have been uncovered, but a warning to soldiers was released, claiming that you’ll be exploring it at your own risk.
Sounds like a reason for a brand-new map to make Warzone Season 2 more interesting, if you ask me.

Unreleased Game Modes
Leakers on Twitter have given us some information on some unreleased game modes possibly coming to Call of Duty.
Call of Duty leaker @ZestyCODLeaks has shown off 3 new game modes, these being; RISK, Sandbox and Extraction.
It's still unclear whether these game modes are cut, unreleased or new. Either way, we're excited to see how these modes may change Verdansk!
New Warzone Objective and Contract.
We also know of a new Warzone objective that also comes from @ZestyCODLeaks.
This objective is called "Survive the Radiation Fallout", possibly hinting at a Nuclear strike on Verdansk.
The new Contract is also called "Launch Code" with a description that reads, "Find three launch codes. Decrypt them. Gain a Nuke Killstreak".
It's still unclear whether Verdansk will be gone by the end of the season, but this does seem to point in that direction.
