Everything You Need To Know About The Call Of Duty Creator Cup


Competitive Warzone tournaments keep on appearing as the popularity of high-stakes competition continues to grow at an incredible rate.

Rather than a third-party organiser setting up a tournament, Warzone publisher Activision has got in on the act to host its very own tournament featuring some of the very best players in the world.

As Season 2 winds down ahead of the hotly anticipated launch of Season 3 which will see the release of a brand-new map, the Call of Duty Creator Cup will be one of the final tournaments that will be played on the current iteration of Verdansk.

How To Watch

Although no official announcements have been made surrounding the broadcast of the Creator Cup, it's more than likely that the tournament will be streamed live on Call of Duty's Twitch and YouTube channels.

Once the stream goes live, we will post it below so you can tune into all the action!

Dates

According to Activision, the tournament will take place on April 14th.

Format

Details on the format that will be used for the Creator Cup have yet to be revealed but there are a number of possible formats that could be adopted for the Creator Cup.

Kill races are the popular choice. Teams have a specific amount of time to record their five highest scores which will be used to calculate their total points haul. The team with the highest points at the end of the time is crowned champion.

Be sure to check back nearer the time once Activision has unveiled the format for the tournament.

Teams

A full list of teams has yet to be revealed but in the April 12th edition of the Call of Duty Weekly Briefing, the teams will include Warzone ace Jordan "HusKerrs" Thomas and 100 Thieves pro Tom "Tommey" Trewren.

More players taking part in the tournament are expected to be revealed in the coming days.

Prize Pool

Participating players will be battling it out for a share of $25,000 in prize money.
