Season 4 Reloadedfor Warzone has gone live across all platforms and alongside the new points of interest inspired by the 80s Action Heroes Event, a brand-new pistol has been added to the huge arsenal of weaponry to select.
The AMP63 is the latest pistol to arrive in the battle royale and thanks to its fully automatic firing mechanism and low levels of recoil, it definitely has the potential to slot into the close-quarters metagame alongside some of the submachine guns.
With a number of attachments to equip to the pistol in order to enhance its performance, it can be tricky to determine which combination will yield the most improvements when dropping into Verdansk or Rebirth Island.

How To Unlock The AMP63 In Warzone
Despite Treyarch revealing that the AMP63 would be releasing later on during Season 3 Reloaded, crafty players managed to get their hands on it early, giving them a chance to see how it fares against other weapons in the arsenal.
The process of unlocking this lethal secondary weapon is relatively straightforward.
Simply score five eliminations using a pistol of your choice in 20 separate matches to get your hands on it.
To do this as quickly as possible, we recommend heading into Black Ops Cold War multiplayer or playing Plunder in order to score the kills.
AMP63 Warzone Best Attachments
After a bit of experimenting with a number of attachment combinations, this is the best one by some margin:
- Agency Suppressor (Muzzle)
- 7.2" Task Force (Barrel)
- SWAT 5mw Laser Sight (Laser)
- Dual Wield (Stock)
- STANAG 25 Rnd (Ammunition)
Just like when the Sykov pistol was added, I found that equipping Dual Wield was the way to go in order to score those close-range kills with ease.
The combination of barrel and suppressor extends the damage range, providing minimal damage drop-off even if an opponent is slightly further away than anticipated.
Like all Warzone attachment combinations, a huge magazine is essential in order to take down multiple enemies in quick succession without the need to dip out of the action to reload.
Best AMP63 Warzone Loadout
Primary Weapon - CR-56 AMAX
The CR-56 AMAX is currently the best assault rifle to be using in Warzone thanks to its incredible output of damage and ease of control at longer distances. While the AMAX thrives in long-distance duels, it can be difficult to react quickly to an opponent that is close by, which is why the AMP63 complements the rifle perfectly.

With no need to use Overkill, Ghost is selected in the Perk 2 slot in order to conceal your location from any enemy UAVs in the sky.
EOD increases your resistance to any explosives that are likely to head your way over the course of a Warzone match, while Amped improves weapon swap speed, giving you the ability to switch between the AMAX and the AMP63 depending on the situation.

Despite changes in the weapon meta, the combination of a Semtex and Heartbeat Sensor features in the loadouts of nearly every single player.
Throw a Semtex to deal some additional damage to any nearby opponents and utilise the Heartbeat Sensor to determine the location of opponents that could be in close proximity.
Is It Good?
In the short period of time I had using the AMP63, I can safely say that it has the potential to feature in the loadouts of several players looking for an extremely powerful secondary weapon without the need to use Overkill.
The fully automatic rate of fire matches up against SMGs well, giving you the chance to down and eliminate opposition that might be armed with superior firepower while the low recoil makes it incredibly easy to spray down any enemies that stand in your way.
I think that the AMP63 won't dominate the close-range meta, but it will certainly find its place.
