Call of Duty Vanguard's launch is right around the corner, and many members of the community are looking forward to jumping into Der Anfang, a brand-new Zombies storyline set in the Dark Aether. Ahead of the game's November 5th release, Treyarch has revealed a range of details surrounding numerous new additions to the mode, including intel on new Perks, and the Dark Aether entities.
Alongside these new additions, the Zombies developer has confirmed that changes have been made to the weapon tiers that first appeared in Black Ops Cold War Zombies. In this guide, find everything you need to know about weapon tiers in Vanguard Zombies and how they tie in with the Pack-a-Punch machine.
Vanguard Zombies Weapon Tiers
Unlike previous Zombies modes, weapon tiers are now defined by how many times they've been through the Pack-a-Punch machine. Ranging from white to orange, these colours make it very easy to tell how strong a weapon will be when it comes to fending off undead opposition. Here's a full breakdown of weapon tiers in Vanguard Zombies:
- White: Unpacked
- Blue: Pack-a-Punch Level 1
- Purple: Pack-a-Punch Level 2
- Orange: Pack-a-Punch Level 3
How To Get Pack-a-Punched Weapons
The easiest way to get hold of upgraded weapons is by spending Essence at the Pack-a-Punch machine. For Der Anfang, the costs have been increased meaning it no longer costs 5000 to get an upgraded weapon. Find a full Pack-a-Punch price breakdown below:
- Level 1: 7500 Essence
- Level 2: 15,000 Essence
- Level 3: 30,000 Essence
If you don't fancy spending that much on an upgraded weapon, Sturmkriegers and the Mystery Box can also drop weapons of different rarities so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a much cheaper way of getting hold of an immensely powerful weapon.
