The two-minute trailer showed glimpses of what players can expect in Vanguard Zombies when the game is released. Alongside a range of new weaponry and supernatural forces to counter the endless waves of undead, it looks as though a Nazi officer has been influenced by some kind of demonic presence, using a variety of powers to summon an undead army to eliminate the Allies once and for all. It's unsure as to how players will be able to stop the demon, but it's certainly going to be fun finding out.

Is Vanguard Zombies Set in the Dark Aether?

Activision has already confirmed that Treyarch is developing the Zombies mode in Vanguard, meaning that the storyline will be intertwined into the existing Dark Aether storyline which concluded with the launch of the Forsaken map at the beginning of Season 6. Prior to the trailer release, Sledgehammer Games has claimed that Vanguard's Zombies mode will feature a "universe-expanding crossover," but details on what that entails have yet to be revealed.
