The launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard is right around the corner and as the days countdown towards November 5th, Activision, Sledgehammer Games, and Treyarch are beginning to reveal even more information surrounding the single-player campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies.
On October 14th, the Call of Duty publisher unveiled the very first look at Vanguard's Zombies mode, showcasing an all-new antagonist looking to get their revenge in the next chapter of the Dark Aether story developed by Treyarch. While minimal details surrounding the mode were revealed, it was clear to spot a demonic presence joining forces with the Axis.
Vanguard Zombies Enemy
The two-minute trailer showed glimpses of what players can expect in Vanguard Zombies when the game is released. Alongside a range of new weaponry and supernatural forces to counter the endless waves of undead, it looks as though a Nazi officer has been influenced by some kind of demonic presence, using a variety of powers to summon an undead army to eliminate the Allies once and for all. It's unsure as to how players will be able to stop the demon, but it's certainly going to be fun finding out.
Is Vanguard Zombies Set in the Dark Aether?
Activision has already confirmed that Treyarch is developing the Zombies mode in Vanguard, meaning that the storyline will be intertwined into the existing Dark Aether storyline which concluded with the launch of the Forsaken map at the beginning of Season 6. Prior to the trailer release, Sledgehammer Games has claimed that Vanguard's Zombies mode will feature a "universe-expanding crossover," but details on what that entails have yet to be revealed.
