The ongoing battle between Activision, Raven Software, and Warzone hackers has been the focal point of the community's frustration with the battle royale, and with the integration of Vanguard expected to implement a new PC anti-cheat, the number of cheaters highly likely to take a hit which is a positive for those looking for a smooth gameplay experience.

Raven Software has done its best in a bid to stop cheaters from dropping into matches, banning approximately 650,000 accounts since the release of the battle royale in March 2020. It's currently unclear whether Warzone will use an all-new anti-cheat or use an existing system such as Easy Anti-Cheat which is used in Fortnite and Apex Legends.

Since Warzone launched, Verdansk has been the main focal point of the battle royale as the main map for players to drop into. The district underwent a huge transformation once Black Ops Cold War had been integrated and headed into the 1980s. Despite the changes, players were left disappointed to remain in Verdansk after it was rumoured a map set in the Ural Mountains would release.

When Vanguard releases on November 5th, it looks like the end is nigh for Verdansk as Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that a brand-new map is arriving later on this year. Current rumours suggest that the new map is 30% larger than Verdansk.
