Call of Duty: Vanguard PS5 Next-Gen Upgrades

Call of Duty: Vanguard has finally been announced and though the information has been slim, more information about the game will be revealed during a Warzone event on August 19th. Following on from the reveal, an alpha is expected to take place later this month, so PlayStation owners won’t have to wait too long before finding out about the Vanguard PS5 Upgrade.

While most players are wondering if Call of Duty: Vanguard will have a single-player campaign or go full battle royale like Black Ops 4, PS4 owners are really hoping for some news on a PS5 upgrade and if they should even bother with the current-gen/last-gen version of the game.

Call of Duty: Vanguard PS5 Next-Gen Upgrades

As of writing (August 17th), no information on a Call of Duty: Vanguard PS5 upgrade for PS4 owners has been announced, though given how Activision handled that for Black Ops Cold War it probably won’t be free.

Players had to pay extra so they could get all of the next-gen upgrades for Black Ops Cold War last year and it seems more than likely that the same thing will happen to those that are planning to pick up the PS4 version of Call of Duty Vanguard when it comes out later this year.

It’s worth noting that systems for Call of Duty: Vanguard haven’t been announced yet so there is a small chance that it will only come out on next-gen systems, negating the need for a PS5 upgrade.

That being said, the PS5 isn’t readily available to everyone yet due to how limited its availability has been, which might not change till next year, so we’re definitely expecting a PS4 version of Call of Duty Vanguard with a paid PS5 upgrade.

Call of Duty: Vanguard will be revealed on August 19th in a Warzone event so players will need to log in to the game so they can see what will be going down in this new release.
