Call of Duty: Vanguard Alpha Equipment, Weapons And Killstreaks Revealed

As the Call of Duty community gears up for the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard's alpha, developer Sledgehammer Games has unveiled some of the features that will be available to PlayStation users taking part in the limited-time event. The only game mode available in the alpha is Champion Hill which has been described as a hybrid between Gunfight and the closing stages of a battle royale match.

Alongside details on how the game mode works, the developer has unveiled the Killstreaks, equipment, and maps that will be available in the alpha, which will be the first time fans of the first-person shooter franchise have got their hands on the game that will release on November 5th.

COD Vanguard Alpha Maps

In a blog post published on August 26th, the developer announced that a total of four maps will be available to play:

  • Courtyard
  • Trainyard
  • Market
  • Airstrip

COD Vanguard Alpha Weapons

While there were no exact details on which weapons would be included, Sledgehammer has confirmed that a range of assault rifles, shotguns, pistols, and LMGs complete with ten upgrades for each, will feature in the alpha. Interestingly, there was no mention of any SMGs. Could the developer be saving them for the beta taking place in September?

To deal even more damage against the opposition, players will have access to a wide variety of lethal and tactical equipment. Ranging from throwing knives to proximity-based equipment, there will be plenty of innovative ways to make a further impact during a match. Here's a full list of available equipment:

  • MK2 Frag Grenade
  • No. 69 Stun Grenade
  • Throwing Knife
  • Gammon Bomb
  • MK V Gas Grenade
  • S-Mine 44

COD Vanguard Perks

During Buy Rounds, players will be able to gain further advantages by purchasing a range of Perks. Check out which Perks will be available during the alpha weekend:

  • Ghost
  • Survival Training
  • High Alert
  • Tracker
  • Demolition
  • Double Time

COD Vanguard Alpha Killstreaks

The presence of Killstreaks in the alpha confirms that Scorestreaks will not be featured in Vanguard. With that said, here are the available streaks that players can get their hands on during the alpha:

  • Spy Plane
  • Flamenaut
  • Deathmachine
  • V2 Rocket
  • Extra Life
  • Armour Plate
  • Full Armour
