Shroud, Xqc, and More Streamers Criticize Vanguard After Beta

Call of Duty: Vanguard isn't getting the right kind of hype. Despite meeting many expectations, there are just too many problems to ignore. Hackers ruining the Beta and streamers are pointing out how easy it is to be a camper; it's hard to stay positive.

There have been complaints made by Charles' Moist Cr1TiKal' White Jr., James 'JGOD' Godoy, Michael' Shroud' Grzesiek, and Félix' xQc' Lengyel. These are just a few who have recently come out to speak negatively about the game. There are many specific quotes in other articles, but we'll focus on the overall picture in this article.

Vanguard First Impressions

We have an entire article about JGOD breaking down the game, and the link to Moist Cr1TiKal's quote is above. The following two points are about Shroud and xQc, two well-known names in gaming. Both were FPS pros and are respected in that area, and both expressed their distaste for the new installment.

Thank you to Dexerto for helping us find the Shroud clip

Shroud was adamant that this felt "rough" all-around. Changes needed to be made to the sound, gameplay, and even the weapons. Nevertheless, he said it was just a beta, and they could fix it.

The Beta isn't about modifying game design features; it's supposed to be a huge bug testing phase. An Alpha is when new features are added, removed, and altered, so a game losing or adding more this late is not a good sign. Fortunately, Sledgehammer Games should be able to resolve Shroud's concerns.

As for xQc, he voices the same issue that JGOD did, the Time To Kill.

More Vanguard: Three Issues That Must Be Fixed Before Vanguard Releases

I like xQc's quote, and it kind of explains the issue:

"Why is it that I shoot 8 bullets and the guy doesn't die? Compared to other Call of Duty games, people are so f**king tanky. It's so busted. The TTK is dogsh*t. What it's going to do is people are going to run with f**king Drum Mags all the time, right?"

There is a big issue that so many streamers have raised. The TTK isn't as good as Black Ops Cold War, which many consider its best version.

Vanguard needs to improve, or it will lose some of its biggest supporters. Although they may seem insignificant, they will impart ideas to their viewers. We'll see how much the actual launch improves this issue.
